以下はDavid講師から皆様へのメッセージでございます！ This course will be taught by me David Falvey, the co-author of Market Leader. By the end of the course you will have improved their Business English communication skills. You will be better able to present, negotiate and participate in meetings in English. The main course book used will be Market Leader. This book brings the real world of international business into the language learning classroom. It has been developed in association with the Financial Times, one of the world’s leading sources of professional information. The topics (such as Brands, Change, Advertising, Cultures, International Marketing and Leadership) have been chosen following research among teachers to establish the areas of widest possible interest to the majority of their students. You will deal with as much authentic content as their level allows. Authentic reading and listening texts are motivating for you and bring the real world of business into the classroom, increasing your knowledge of business practice and concepts, and expanding your vocabulary. You will develop your communication skills in the key business areas of presentations, meetings, negotiations and social English. You will use the language (including vocabulary and grammar) and communication skills you have acquired in the course in a case study linked to the unit’s business topic. Typically you will be involved in discussing business problems and recommending solutions in groups. You will be able to prepare for this in the week you are not in the classroom. You will also develop your intercultural awareness. The tasks and activities will help you to communicate with confidence. I will help motivate you in their learning in a friendly and supportive environment and the course will help you perform well in your jobs. |
